  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

TODAY is Eveling Adriana Orozco Lopez's 11th birthday. =) Honestly, I think sponsoring this Compassion child is one of the things, I love the most about my entire life.

Whenever I feel hopeless or discontent, tired or frustrated with my life. I ...take one look at this beautiful angel.... and i feel peace again. I treasure every hand-written letter she writes me.

If you haven't sponsored a child ever before, let today be the day. I started my sophomore year at UCB, I was only paid $8/hr at my part-time retail job, but only working 5 hours was enough to provide Food, Education, Health Care and Bible Discipleship for an ENTIRE MONTH for a child who needs you.

Hope you changed your mind & softened your heart in the last 2 minutes reading this Wall Post: =) You have a big heart!

The Parable of the Rich Fool

13Someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me."

14Jesus replied, "Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?" 15Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."

16And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. 17He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.'

18"Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." '

20"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'

21"This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God."

  • Meet my beautiful new little sister:

    India Child Prayer

    Vini Karthika

    India, South Asia

    5 years old. No father.

Helps her mom take care of 3 children.

She likes playing Hide & Go Seek.

I watched "Slum Dog Millionaire" a few weeks ago, the first 10 minutes moved my soul to tears. I tried to harden my heart, forget about the movie, but I can't... God has already sealed it upon my heart.

Some may say heartache and lonliness is a great tragedy, I believe it is a great tragedy to live life with no passion, no sacrifice, no action to back up the faith you profess daily.

  • Christmas

Poem dedicated to Jesus. Happy Birthday. I love you, you're amazing. Thank you for finding me.

    Christmas

    Not much to Give,

    Only wanting to Take-

    To fill Me,

    with worth.

    Yet all you Have,

    Everything you’ve Made-

    Is all mine,

    unclaimed Gifts.

    Sit underneath Stars,

    Like un-used Gift Cards-

    Losing its Value,

    buried Talents.

    Whom am I, Jesus?

    Tell me the Truth-

    Are your Scars,

    the Answer.
